'Studio M' Ballet School - on a tour in Egypt Print E-mail

studiom.jpg“Studio M” Ballet School, functioning within the framework of the National Opera House in Bucharest (NOB) under the guidance of the former leading ballerina of the theater Magdalena Rovinescu, was invited to Egypt, in the period 12th-14th of October 2009, to present two performances, under the title “Young talents of ballet schools”. The first performance will take place in the great hall of the Opera House in Cairo, on the 12th of October, while the second performance at the Sayed Darwish Theatre in Alexandria, on the 14th of October. 
Thirty children of “Studio M” Ballet School will go for the first time on a tour to Egypt, with a program including parts of the performance “The Doll Shop”, on the music of the classical ballets “Coppelia” by Leo Delibes, “The Nutcracker” by P. I. Ceaikovski, “Don Quixote” by Ludwig Minkus, as well as on modern music (Madonna – “4 minutes” and Step Up-Sound). 
”Studio M” Ballet School was founded in 1982 by Magdalena Rovinescu and it has been functioning ever since, within the framework of NOB. “Studio M” aimed and succeeded to identify and promote young talents spreading the fame of  Romanian ballet worldwide.
Sensitive and at the same time severe,  Magdalena Rovinescu teaches children to move gracefully, to listen to ballet music, to have an upright beautiful bearing, to control their steps, to love music and dance – to sum up, to contribute to the artistic education and shaping of an exceptional personality.
