Biletele cumpărate rămân valabile, iar contravaloarea celor returnate se poate obţine la casa de bilete a ONB.

În seara zilei de 16 februarie 2010, cu începere de la ora 18:30, va avea loc a doua reprezentaţie a spectacolului “Tango emoción”, poveste scenică pasională de Oana Andra, ce se va desfăşura în foyerul galben al ONB.

Studioul Experimental de Operă şi Balet „Ludovic Spiess” (SEOB) din cadrul Operei Naţionale Bucureşti (ONB) va prezenta în premieră naţională spectacolul „TANGO EMOCIÓN”, prin care mezzo-soprana Oana Andra, baritonul Andras Chiriliuc şi pianista Mihaela Vâlcea ne propun o incursiune pasională în lumea tango-ului. Evenimentul va avea loc marţi, 9 februarie a.c., ora 18:30, în spaţiul foyerului galben. Regia şi coregrafia sunt semnate de Valentin Roşca, iar scenografia a fost concepută de Viorica Petrovici. Consultant lingvistic: Hector Lopez.
„TANGO EMOCIÓN” este o povestire scenică pasională, un vis de iubire, o evadare prin tango, dintr-o lume marcată de ritmurile agresive ale unei existenţe abrutizate”, declară Oana Andra.
Programul va cuprinde melodii de Carlos Gardel, Marcel Lattes, Astor Piazzola, Ángel Villoldo, Juan Carlos Cobian, Marianito Mores, C. A. Bixio, Edgardo Donat, Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, Juan de Dios Filiberto, Julio César Sanders, pe versuri de Eladia Blázquez, Carlos César Lenzi, César Vedani, Horacio Ferrer, Vicente Seguí, Alfredo Le Pera, Mario Battistella, Enrique Santos Discepolo, Andrés Calamaro, Javier Calamaro, Carlos Gardel.
„TANGO EMOCIÓN” este un spectacol experimental, încadrându-se în obiectivul pe care Studioul Experimental de Operă şi Balet „Ludovic Spiess ” intenţionează să-l atingă în fiecare stagiune: prezentarea unor creaţii experimentale. Astfel, în această nouă premieră, coregrafia semnată de Valentin Roşca, prim-solist al Teatrului de Revistă „Constantin Tănase”, are un rol deosebit de important. Interpretarea celor doi solişti va atrage în mod special publicul tânăr care va descoperi în artistul de operă multiple disponibilităţi interpretative.

EXPLORING BALLET

WITH SUZANNE FARRELL

Luni, 25 ianuarie 2010 a avut loc la Opera Naţională Bucureşti audiţia în vederea selecţionării câştigătorului sau câştigătoarei bursei Exploring ballet with Suzanne Farrell, la care s-au înscris 45 de elevi ai şcolilor şi liceelor de coregrafie din toată ţara. O astfel de audiţie a avut loc pentru prima dată în România şi a fost organizată de The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, cu sprijinul Ambasadei SUA la Bucureşti şi al Operei Naţionale Bucureşti, reprezentată cu această ocazie de Simona Şomăcescu, Coordonatorul Companiei de balet. Audiţia a fost condusă chiar de Suzanne Farrell, director artistic al companiei The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, care a fost însoţită de Vanessa T. Thomas, director pentru dezvoltarea audienţei din cadrul Departamentului Educaţie al Centrului John F. Kennedy pentru Artele Spectacolului.
Câştigătorii audiţiei sunt trei elevi ai Liceului de coregrafie „Floria Capsali” din Bucureşti: Greta Gabriela Niţă, clasa a VIII-a, Mihai Cristian Preda, clasa a XI-a, Alexandra Elisabeta Bertea, clasa a XI-a.
Bursa se va desfăşura la Centrul Kennedy, în perioada 26 iulie – 14 august 2010, sub forma unor cursuri de vară intensive care vor cuprinde 12 ore de balet pe săptămână cu balerina Suzanne Farrell, participarea la evenimente culturale organizate de Centrul Kennedy sau alte instituţii cu profil cultural din Washington.

NOB EVENTS

In January and February 2010

The National Opera House in Bucharest (NOB) has prepared a rich and diverse repertoire, with premieres, event-performances and special guests, for the second half of this season.
In the first performance of January, which will take place tonight at 6:30 p.m., opera fans will have again the opportunity to listen to tenor Daniel Magdal, who will perform the role Radames in the opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi. The artist will sing beside other NOB soloists, orchestra, theater choir and ballet ensemble, under the baton of conductor Iurie Florea.
On the 22nd of January, two interesting debuts will take place: soprano Aurelia Florian will perform for the first time the role Norina, while tenor Bogdan Mihai will make his debut in the role Ernesto, in the latest staging of Gaetano Donizetti’s opera “Don Pasquale”, which was achieved by the end of last season.
“Cosi fan tutte”, one of Mozart’s most popular operas, will be performed again on the NOB stage, on Sunday, 31st of January 2010. The performance, conducted by Tiberiu Soare, will benefit by the presence of a guest in the role Fiordiligi - soprano Iulia Isaev, who has also successfully performed the role of the Countess in Mozart’s opera “The Marriage of Figaro”, in December 2009. In the next performance of “Cosi fan tutte”, scheduled for Friday, 5th of February, the role Fiordiligi will be performed by soprano Cristina Radu, a soloist of the Opera House in Brasov.
On Sunday, 6th of February 2010, the event-performance of the opera “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi will be dedicated to mezzo-soprano Veronica Garbu. The performance will benefit by the contribution of special guests, tenor Daniel Magdal in the role Radames and mezzo-soprano Andrada Nas, who will perform the role Amneris, for the first time on the NOB stage.
Among other NOB guests invited in February, mention should be made of tenor Robert Nagy, who will perform the title part in the opera “Faust” by Charles Gounod (on Sunday, 14th of February) and tenor Marius Vlad Budoiu, who will perform the part Don José in the opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet (on Wednesday, 17th of February).
In the evening of the 7th of February, the NOB ballet company will dedicate its leading ballerina Roxana Colceag the performance “Baiadera” by Ludwig Minkus, in which NOB ballet stars will dance.
The Ballet and Opera Experimental Studio “Ludovic Spiess” (BOES) is working on the premiere of the performance “Amadeus”, an adaptation of Peter Shaffer’s play, in the version of the young stage director Marcel Top, who proposes us for February a complex theatrical-musical performance. Also in February, BOES will present in the Yellow Foyer the performance “Tango emocion”, in which mezzo-soprano Oana Andra, piano player Mihaela Valcea and baritone Andras Chiriliuc propose a passionate excursion in the world of tango. At the same time, BOES will continue its project dedicated to young choreographers, achieved in co-operation with UNATC, by presenting the performance “Before the end after”, achieved by choreographer Tunde Baczo (on Tuesday, 23rd of February).
On Sunday, 28th of February, the symphonic fairy tale for children “Pete and the Wolf” will be performed again, the actress Maia Morgenstern playing the part of the narrator.

MASTERS OF LYRICAL ART - 2nd edition

„ARTA FLORESCU”

The National Opera House in Bucharest (NOB) organizes the 2nd edition of the International Singing Competition “Masters of Lyrical Art”, an extraordinary event which will take place in the period 23rd and 28th of March 2010. The 1st edition of this competition was dedicated to the famous soprano Magda Ianculescu, who demonstrated her artistic mastership by performing a vast repertoire on the national and international stages. Each edition of the International Singing Competition “Masters of Lyrical Art” is dedicated to a renowned artist of the Romanian lyrical stage. The 2nd edition is dedicated to soprano Arta Florescu, a great opera singer, with a prestigious career on the Romanian and European stages, and also a representative personality of the Romanian singing school.
The 2nd edition jury members are Eugenia Moldoveanu – President of Honor, Grigore Constantinescu – President, Ioana Bentoiu, Victor Dumanescu, Ionel Pantea, Costin Popa, Maria Slatinaru Nistor, Anda Tabacaru-Hogea, and Leontina Vaduva.
The competition aims at identifying and launching the most valuable lyrical voices of the young generation. All categories of performers – singers, soloists, or choir members in music organizations, music college, and young talents with professional training in Romania and abroad – can participate in the competition. Participants aged between 20 and 32 (until the 31st of March 2010) are eligible.
The competition will consist of two eliminatory stages (with piano accompaniment), which will take place in the NOB Yellow Foyer, and the final stage (with orchestra accompaniment), which will be held in the NOB performance hall. The prize awards and the laureates’ gala concert will take place on Sunday, 28th of March, in the NOB hall.
Applications will be made at the competition Secretariat, at the National Opera House in Bucharest, 70–72, Mihail Kogalniceanu Blvd, Sector 5, Bucharest, Artistic Programming Office, 3rd floor or on-line, on the NOB site (http://www.operanb.ro/), in the period 1st of February – 15th of March 2010.

NOB launches studiOpera

The National Opera House in Bucharest, by its Ballet and Opera Experimental Studio “Ludovic Spiess” (BOES), in partnership with Fondazione Accademia d’Arti e Mestieri dello Spettacolo Teatro alla Scala and SVASTA Consult S.R.L., will implement the project “Specific professional training, within the framework of the Ballet and Opera Experimental Studio, for stage professions and cultural management abilities in the field of the performing arts – studiOpera”, in the period November 2009 – November 2012. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund, in the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013, “Invest in people!”, the non-reimbursable fund amounting to 17,963,028 lei, the largest non-reimbursable fund obtained by a theater in Romania from a European organization.
